Class 3 B presented an assembly on festivals that teach us about courage, kindness and the victory of good over evil.
People celebrate Durga Puja, Navratri and Dussehra at this time.
These festivals may look different, but they all share one message — good always wins.
Durga Puja is celebrated mainly in West Bengal. People worship Goddess Durga, decorate pandals, and celebrate with music, dance and food.
Navratri is celebrated across India for nine nights. People pray to different forms of Goddess Durga and dance Garba and Dandiya in Gujarat.
Dussehra is celebrated to remember Lord Rama’s victory over Ravana. In many places, big figures of Ravana are burnt to show that evil is destroyed.
These festivals also remind us of the Sustainable Development Goals. For example, SDG 12 – Responsible Consumption.
Many people now use eco-friendly idols and avoid plastic during celebrations to protect our earth.
We must remember the message shared by the three festivals -
“Goodness always wins!”
